This note is just to make people aware that there are various table tennis summer camps available for players who are looking to take part in playing table tennis and be part of a summer camp coached by international coaches, have some fun and enjoy a different vacation experience. Cooke and Deaton hosts their camp which is a five day camp, fully residential, Monday-Friday on any of the following dates at Grantham College, England.
Week 1: 29th July
Week 2: 5th August
Week 3: 12th August

The course caters for all playing standards and offers entertainment in the evenings from small table competitions, demonstration games to ten pin bowling so it becomes a full day.
Two members from Triangle club attended the 2018 camp and enjoyed it immensely, learned a great deal from the various international coaches and overall thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Previously I attended this camp in 2002 with my son who was 13 years old at the time and he improved his playing standard over the week and enjoyed the camp both from an intense playing experience to having a very enjoyable vacation.
Playing every day for 7/8 hours must improve your game, mixing with likeminded players is a great experience, playing alongside talented international players and being coached by various top international coaches is a great opportunity which is not possible under normal circumstances at club level. This can give your game a large boost incorporating new learnings from great coaches.
We both just thought there might be more people, playing at any level, who would benefit from just being aware of this type of summer camp/vacation. The 2018 camp had juniors from the age of 10 years old to returning repeat members in their seventies. We are both returning in 2019 and would enjoy seeing more players attending from Aberdeen and surrounding area. This is a great opportunity for both adults and children to improve their standard of play.
