ADTTA Ping Pong Tournament will take place this Sunday at Woodbank Sports Hall, North Deeside Road, Aberdeen. For those who haven't been to Woodbank before, the following directions may come useful. If travelling from city centre (or A92 Anderson Drive), please follow the road until you see Marcliffe Hotel signage on the right. Woodbank driveway is immediately after that. Go up to the car park at the top. Sports Hall is to the left of the main Woodbank building. See map below for reference.

There are 16 players registered for the tournament. The format will be 4 groups of 4 with 2 players from each group progressing to Main Event QFs while 3rd and 4th places will form QFs of the Consolation Plate. The draw is available to download, see links above and below the article.

Each match is best-of-3 games, each game first to 15 points with a sudden death played at 14 -14. Each player can choose to play the double point ball on their first or second service, but only if their score is 12 points or less. Please note that there is only 1 double point ball in best-of-three match. The opponent's score is not relevant when calling for the double point ball. Finals of both events will be best-of-5 games.

The day will start at 10am with 45min practice. Preliminary schedule is provided below : timings are subject to change.
