League Report Division 2 ADTTA November 2018 by Nigel Griffiths

November has seen Challock C make a decisive push for promotion with wins over Ruckinge B and Ashford B 8-2 and a 6-4 win at Hamstreet A.  Challock B slipped up with a 5-5 draw at Hamstreet and a 7-3 loss to Ashford B.

Ruckinge B look set for 3rd place bouncing back with a 9-1 win against  Postling B , but they still have a big match up to come with Hamstreet A before they confirm that 3rd place.

Sportsmen A look to have kept themselves in the division with a fine 7-3 win at home to Ashford A , with Douglas Ho winning all 3 for the home side. Despite that loss newly promoted Ashford B should stay in the division following the fine win against Challock B, where Dan Housden, Luke Garvey and Matt Hills all won 2 games each

A hard fought 5-5  draw against Sportmen A was too little too late for Postling B,  who now look certain to drop down to division 3.

In the individual averages Steve Smith has remained unbeaten throughout the season, with a crunch match looming in the last game of the season against Darren Richardson who is 3rd in the averages  of Challock C to keep his 100% record.  Cliff Ball is in second on 96% having lost just one game all season.  With Challock B having the top two in the rankings and Challock C the next 2, credit goes to Jamie MacDonald of Challock C who on 50% for the season has increased his average in Division 2 from his average last season in Division 3 and has made the difference between which Challock team got promoted. Well done Jamie.

It has been a very hard fought league this season with lots of very tight games and credit must also go to Luke Garvey  43% and Dan Housden 33% who acquitted themselves well in their first season in Division two.
