Chronicle Report 30th Nov 2017

Leaders Bath Invaders B gave the chasing division 1 teams no chance of reducing their lead by taking the maximum 30 points from their match against Ensleigh A, who could only claim two points from Olly Newton and a further two from the doubles. The leaders’ trio on this occasion was Bryan Taylor, Steve Doidge, and Simon Monks.

Yatton Keynell B moved towards safety after an emphatic 29-5 home victory over Key Centre B, who now find themselves bottom of the table. Adam Dawes and Andy Purkiss both registered maximums, with Joe Dukes adding eight points. Dave Carter (4) and Matt Timpson earned the visitors’ points.

Bear Flat B are well placed in division 2 following a 25-12 win away to Bathford E, for whom Mark Davis and Tony Parr were on the scoresheet with 5 points apiece. Tim Cahill and Trevor Floyd both scored the full 9 points for the victors, and Lucy Bowskill added 4 points.

Oldfield F are also going well, as demonstrated by a hard earned 23-16 success away to Yatton Keynell D. Lee Bailey starred for the away team with a maximum, and he was backed up by Colin Dowding (8) and Paul Harris (6). Edward Lea (7) Bob Portlock (4) and Ben Sage (2) responded for the hosts.
