Premier Division leaders Chippenham A recorded an emphatic 27-11 win at home to Bathford A to move closer to retaining their title. Rick Jemmott led the way for the reigning champions with a maximum, but Gary Baldwin and Terry Parkins were not far behind, adding 8 and 7 points respectively. Albert Bolhuis (5) Phil Marshall (4) and Bruce Dearling (2) replied for the visitors.

Yatton Keynell A racked up maximum points in beating visiting Radstock A 30-7, with Jamie Smith, Keith Holland, and Shaun Eagles making up the undefeated threesome. Phil Ware (4) Keren Millard (2) and Dean Barmby were on the scoresheet for the away team.

In Division 1 Bear Flat A registered an impressive 22-17 home win against promotion chasing Key Centre A as both Paul Green and Andy Steady beat Peter Galea following on from his first defeat the previous week. Brent Pollard beat Green 3-2 in the evening’s outstanding contest to claim the full 9 points in a losing cause, whilst Galea’s 4 points and one from Ken Milsom were all that the visitors could add to the doubles points and those from Pollard. Green (8) Steady (7) and Justin Johnstone (5) accounted for the hosts’ singles points.

Bottom side Key Centre B suffered a heavy 29-6 defeat at home to Yatton Keynell B. Adam Dawes and Andy Purkiss both carded maximums for the victors and Richard Terrell added a further eight points. The home side responded through Dave Carter (5) and Chris Chapman.

Runaway Division 2 leaders Chippenham D thrashed Batheaston B 28-3 away to wrap up the title with two matches to play. Steve Deeble and Jim Wheeler both claimed maximum points, with reserve Garry Young only losing to Phil Gentle in the process of adding 7 points.

Yatton Keynell D ran Oldfield F close at Monkton Combe, despite playing one short, as Edward Lea carded the full 9 points and Jon Freeman eight. Oldfield clinched the match in the doubles, with Lee Bailey (7) Ian Dagger (6) and Colin Dowding (5) claiming their singles points.
