2016-17 Match Secretary Report

Bedfordshire entered two cadet teams this 2016-17 season and finished third and seventh. The first team consisted of Rebekah Barry, Luke Manning, Ben Reddy and Ollie Horswell. The second team consisted of Maddie Whitley,  George Whitley, Neelan Peelai and Sam Manning. Unfortunately, we were short of girls again due to one girl giving up table tennis in preference to football and another being unavailable due to a school sports match.

The senior team comprising Sandra Harper, Sarah Hudson, Mitchell Williams, Kieran Smith and Matt Evans emphatically won their division and are promoted to the first division for next season. Mitchell Williams remained unbeaten over all of the competition and Sarah Hudson had probably one of her best seasons. Kieran is still improving but there is a big gap between Matt and the other men and he will find it difficult next season. However, he always gives 100% in his matches and is a good team member.

General News

A junior team have been added for the 2017-18 season as many of our cadet 1st team drop out of the cadets due to age. Also, we are now experiencing a good depth of both boy and girl players so the future looks bright for Bedfordshire.
