Eastbourne Closed 2023-24

Bexhill players dominated proceedings at the Eastbourne League Closed Table Tennis Championships, held at Shinewater on Sunday 14th April 2024.

The last four in the blue riband Mens Singles event were all from Bexhill with Andy Norwood beating Ryan Heselden in five games in the final. Norwood beat Faldie Adams in straight games at the semi-final stage while Heselden beat Paul Barry in a family affair over four tight games.

A small entry for the Womens Singles saw Pin Ka Yiu emerge as the winner of a group with Pam Winter in second place, both players from Bexhill.

Andy Norwood and Faldie Adams combined to take the Mens Doubles in another all-Bexhill affair, beating Paul Barry and Ryan Heselden in straight games in the final.  Losing semi finalists were Mike Hebdige (Bexhill)/Bob Lowe (Hollington) and Martin Kellaway (ex Bexhill) and James Gorridge (Tackleway).

Pin Ka Yiu and Pam Winter won the Womens Doubles, beating Sheila King(Hastings Academy) and Sue Paice (Hollington) 

Faldie Adams and Pin Ka Yiu took the Mixed Doubles title with a final win over Mike Hebdige and Sheila King. Losing semi-finalists were second seeds Martin Kellaway and Pam Winter and Tony Power and Sue Paice.

Bob Lowe won the Consolation Singles with Malcolm Barber (Bexhill) the runner up
