League Week 7

Amann Ubhi, the newly crowned Warwickshire Closed champion, stays at the top of the individual list in the Premier Division a maximum at Beaufort Sports A.  Highlight for Sports in a 6-4 defeat was a victory for Phil Burwell over England ranked Sarra Wang, after being two ganes down.  Hamstead A march on in their attempt to retain the title with an emphatic 10-0 success over Beaufort Sports B.

Colebridge Braves thumped Sutton Coldfield B 8-2 in Division One thanks to trebles from Kate Hughes and youngster Amit Ubhi.  Trevor Davies was the star man for Sutton Coldfield A in an 8-2 scoreline over West Midlands Police A.  Terry Cooper was back to his best for Streetly B, as they pipped Bournville A 8-2.

Quinborme A thumped Colebridge Giants 8-2 in Division Two, with Dan Ranford notching yet another hat-trick.  Colebridge Dinosaurs had maximum men in John Overton and Mark Georgevic, as they thumped Giants 9-1.  Tony Stewart did likewise for Beaufort Sports C in their 8-2 win over Colebridge Hawks.  Sutton Coldfield D had Milad Elsoueidi again in fine form in their 8-2 victory over Smiths Wood D.  Smithereens B won 6-4 at arch rivals Colebridge Falcons, thanks to a superb Martin Rollason maximum, which included a nine in the fifth win over the aggressive Bernard Oliver and 12-10 in the fifth against Dean Hicks in the last set of the night.

Steve Taylor was again the main man for Colebridge Lions at Maypole B in Division Three, but his treble was to no avail as his side lost 6-4.  Martin Clayton won three singles against Sutton Coldfield E to help his side to a 7-3 triumph.

Quinborne B succeeded 6-4 in Division Four, while a Frank Mason maximum helped West Midlands Police B to an 8-2 home win over Hamstead D.  Colebridge Magpies and F.Jacombs A fought out a 5-5 draw.
