League Week 8

Phil Burwell gained a superb maximum for Beaufort Sports A, as they beat Smiths Wood B 7-3 in the Premier Division.


Maypole A achieved the same scoreline in Division One, in their 7-3 success over strugglers Sandwell Unison, with Ian Anson of Maypole unbeaten. Paul Ducros copped a hat-trick for West Midlands Police A in yet another 7-3 victory over Streetly B. Trevor Davies was the star for Sutton Coldfield A in their 6-4 win over high flying Colebridge Braves.


Colebridge Giants stunned clubmates Colebridge Falcons by a 6-4 margin in Division Two. Sutton Coldfield D produced a fine team effort to beat Quinborne A as Mike Cooper, Milad Elsoueidi and Colin Cleverley all won two singles eaxh.  Association chairman Steve Smith and Dave Whittingslow were both maximum men for Smithereens B in an 8-2 mauling of Smiths Wood D.  Mark Georgevic notched another treble as Colebridge Dinosaurs thrashed Colebridge Hawks 8-2.


Bournville B had a 7-3 home win over Ivy Leaf A in Division Three, thanks to a Dave Lyne treble.  Maypole B and Colebridge Knaves cancelled each other out in a 5-5 draw.  Mike Standen and Richard Parks both had maximums for Streetly C in a 9-1 mauling of Walmley A.


F.Jacombs A hammered Walmley B 10-0 in Division Four, as Barry Sterling, Sam Georgevic and Robert Spires proved unplayable.


A Sam Henderson hat-trick enabled Maypole C to edge Hamstead E 6-4 in Division Five.  Colebridge Nobles and Ivy Leaf B drew 5-5, with Luke Taylor of Nobles the only unbeaten player.
