League Week 16

Hamstead A are virtually assured of retaining the Premier Division title following a 9-1 success at Beaufort Sports B.  Nabil Khalfey and Steve Bertie gained maximums for the leaders, in what is turning into a fairly comfortable retention of their crown.
Hamstead B blasted doomed Smithereens A 10-0.  Paul Hancox has given Smiths Wood C hope of avoiding the drop, after his treble ensured a 7-3 away victory at Streetly A.

Les Minott continued in magnificent form for Bournville A in Division One, although his side were forced to share the spoils with Streetly B in a 5-5 scoreline.  Hamstead C won 7-3 at Maypole A thanks to a fine team effort from Baz Barrett, Wayne Morris and Raj Singh.  Kate Hughes was unbeaten for Colebridge Braves, as they took a step nearer promotion with a hard fought 6-4 triumph at Sutton Coldfield B.  Sutton Coldfield A beat West Midlands Police A 7-3, thanks to a Jason Hadley hat-trick.

Colebridge Chiefs and Quinborne A drew 5-5 in Division Two, with Mahroof Hussain of Chiefs the only maximum man.  Both Mark Georgevic and Pete Roddy were unplayable for Colebridge Dinosuars as they brought Colebridge Giants down to size with a 9-1 demolition.  Beaufort Sports C edged Colebridge Hawks 6-4, courtesy of a treble from youngster Ryan Birbeck. Dean Hicks did likewise for Colebridge Falcons in their 6-4 victory at Smithereens B.  Mike Cooper led Sutton Coldfield D to a 7-3 success at Smiths Wood D.

Bournville B had a sweet 8-2 victory over Sutton Coldfield E, as Martin Clayton produced a maximum.  Tim Fell and Steve Taylor ensured a 7-3 triumph for Colebridge Lions over Maypole B.  Streetly C relied on a Richard Parks maximum for their 6-4 result over Colebridge Jaguars.
