Rob Sheldon and Rob Rowson both recorded maximums for Beaufort Sports B in a convincing 9-1 away win at strugglers Streetly A, in the Premier Division. Hamstead B were much too strong for Sutton Coldfield A, who are another struggling outfit, with an 8-2 scoreline. Mark Brookes notched a treble for Hamstead, B, whilst Chris Maiden won two singles in his first appearance in the competition this millenium. Colebridge Braves stunned Beaufort Sports A by a 6-4 margin, highlighted by superb wins by Worcestershire No 1 Kate Hughes over both Jon Ludlow and Association President Phil Burwell.
Paul Myatt kept Smithereens A on target for a swift return to the top flight with an impressive hat-trick against Bournville A in a 7-3 away win in Division One. Hamstead C recorded a 10-0 victory over West Midlands Police A, as Baz Barrett, Wayne Morris and Hemal Raval keep Hamstead on target for promotion. Ian Scott of Maypole A had too much class for the wily old campaigners of Colebridge Chiefs in a thumping 8-2 success. Smiths Wood C and Sutton Coldfield D drew 5-5 with only Purdip Shoker of Sutton unbeaten. Barrett tops the individual list with 30/33 followed by Raval 27/30, Parajat De 25/30 and Shoker 24/33.
Mike Evetts continued his sparkling form with another maximum for Colebridge Eagles in Division Two in a 6-4 victory over Quinborne A. Neil Wheatley made a rare appearance for Eagles and beat both Tim Freeman and Dave Ranford.
Smithereens B maintained their lofty position following a 7-3 triumph over Colebridge Falcons, as Kevin Flavell and Dave Whittingslow were both unbeaten for Smiths. England Deaf international Andy Calloway registered another hat-trick for Sutton Coldfield C in a 5-5 draw with Colebridge Dinosaurs. Richard Parks was the difference between the two sides as he helped Streetly C edge Colebridge Giants 6-4. Roger Ellerington made a welcome return for Smiths Wood D after a long absence, as his side beat Sutton Coldfield D 7-3 despite a Boni Amin maximum.
