Last week in the Bolton & District Table Tennis League the first half of the league season came to a close. This gives us a good idea of how the final tables may look at the end of the season. In the Premier Division, if anyone had any ideas that second-placed Ramsbottom Town A might close the gap on top team Flixton ppong A then they were summerly scuppered as Flixton went to town beating them 21 – 11 with nines coming from Stephen Scowcroft and Pawel Orzechowski. Third-placed Flixton ppong B  were also on song as they beat tenth-placed  Burning Desire 22 – 12 helped by nine from Keith Deaville. Fourth-placed Hilton a just lost out 18 – 16 to Little Lever Cricket Club A two places below them with their Graham Jeffries on nine.  Wharton in fifth place had a 25 – 13 win over seventh-placed Ramsbottom Town B with nines coming from Dean Walmsley and Martin Wyatt.
