It was a closely fought contest when stablemates Lodgers D took on Lodgers E, with Lodgers E just coming out on top with a 4-6 victory. Steve Hill for Lodgers D was the man of the match with three victories in the singles, although Katie Christoforou for the E team did let a 2 set lead slip to lose in the fifth 11-4. Unfortunately, Steve was the only D player to win a singles match with Tony Kime and Richard Scott being outgunned by their E counterparts. The doubles was an excellent match-up between Tony Kime and Steve Hill versus Richard Baxter and Vic Clements - Tony and Steve were 2-1 ahead but Richard and Vic managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat, taking the fourth 11-13 to take it to the decider, which went all the way to a nailbiting finish, with Tony and Steve taking it 16-14 to make the score a respectable 4-6 victory for the E team.
