Graves Park E climbed out of the bottom two with a 6-4 victory over Mayflower 2 who could only field two players. The Park's Peter Bell was the man of the match with two singles victories over Tony Hall and Allan Marshall, only dropping one end in the process. Fred Calvert almost followed suit with a straight sets victory over Tony Hall and just losing out in five ends to Allan Marshall. It was a tough night for Alex Allbones though with Allan Marshall and Tony Hall beating him in straight ends. The doubles was the best match of the night with Peter and Fred taking on Tony and Allan - After three ends Mayflower were 1-2 up before the Park battled back to take the fourth end 11-9. The final end was nip and tuck but the Mayflower duo dug deep to take the doubles and reduce the deficit to 6-4 on the night.
