BLADES STRUGGLES CONTINUE!

Although Lodgers Blades lost 0-10, it was to defending champions Lodgers J and they won't be the only team to be whitewashed by them as the season progresses. Simon Raistrick was once again unlucky not to earn his team a precious point, coming from 0-2 against Chris Christoforou, to take the next two ends 11-6, 14-12 only to fall short in the fifth 5-11. Lucas East also played very well by taking an end off Alan Ashberry and Chris Christoforou. It was a tough night for Gavin Read though, who was beaten in straight sets on the night. Player of the match was Brett Heppenstall who won all his singles in straight sets, although Simon almost pinched the first end of the evening, just losing out 14-16.
