EVANS TAKES NO PRISONERS!

  Pete Evans was the man in form when Wrangle visited Lodgers B, with Pete the player of the match by taking all his singles in straight ends. Sam Cooper backed him up with another 3 points although Richard Baxter and Trev Blackbourn gave him a brief scare by taking an end off him respectively. Dave Coulson added one point with a straight sets victory over Gary Jaques and was unfortunate not to get another in the game of the night against Richard Baxter. Fighting back from 1-2 down to take the fourth end 8-11 before Richard hit a rich vein of form in the fifth, taking it 11-6. Trev Blackbourn earned Lodgers other point with a good four end victory over Dave Coulson. With the doubles also going the way of Wrangle, Lodgers had to settle for just the 2 points.
