RAISTRICK DEFIES THE ODDS!

  Simon Raistrick of Lodgers Blades put in a player of the match performance but unfortunately still ended up on the losing team against Stickney. In the opening match against Paddy Hartnett, Simon and Paddy exchanged ends with three going to deuce but it was Simon who just pinched the decider 13-15. Simon then went on to beat Andy Birks and Vince Lozynsky in four ends on what was a good night for the Blades Captain. Unfortunately, Blades could only field two players and with Gavin Read unable to add to the scoreline, 3 points it was in a 7-3 defeat on the night.
