EVANS SAVES THE WHITEWASH!

  All three of the Wrangle team had a chance to add a point to their team score when they took on Lodgers A, but it was only Pete Evans who managed it, with a straight sets victory over Gary Hill. He nearly added a second, taking Graham Lacey all the way to a deciding end, only for Graham to take it 7-11. Dave Coulson almost added a second point by taking Gary Hill to a fifth end, only to lose it agonisingly 12-14! Sam Cooper on another night could have also beaten Gary with all three of his ends going to deuce but unfortunately all going the way of the Lodgers man. Kelvin Clements was the player of the match and was in sublime form as he raced through his singles in straight sets and minimum fuss. With the doubles also going the way of Lodgers, Wrangle had to settle for just the point on their way to a 1-9 defeat.
