Lodgers B could consider themselves a bit unlucky to not come away with something more when they visited neighbours Wrangle, with some close five end battles, that unfortunately for Lodgers, all went the way of Wrangle. Pete Evans was the player of the match beating Richard Baxter and Trev Blackbourn in straight sets before just getting the better of Colin Bell over five ends. Sam Cooper backed Pete up, also winning his three singles with straight set wins over Richard Baxter and Colin Bell before coming from 0-2 down against Trev Blackbourn to take the next three sets 11-9, 11-5, 11-5. Dave Coulson chipped in with two wins, a straight sets win over Richard Baxter and a titanic five set victory over Trev Blackbourn, however, Colin Bell was a match too far, with Colin taking the win over four sets. In the doubles, Cooper/Evans took on Blackbourn/Bell and despite going one set down, the Lodgers pairing took the next three ends to give themselves another point but it was Wrangle who came away the victors in an 8-2 victory.
