FOSTER BREAKS PARK'S RESOLVE!

Tetford's Andy Foster put in a player of the match performance to win his three singles, which were integral in a closely fought away match with Graves Park E, that on another night could have easily swung the other way - Tetford coming away with with a 4-6 victory. Andy Foster was in sparkling form as he dispatched his Park opponents, dropping only 2 ends in the process. Fred Calvert and Alex Allbones were the points winners for the Park, both taking two victories against Mary Silverton and Peter Hughes but it was a tough night for Rita Rowe, who despite battling hard and having some close battles, including a five set marathon against Peter Hughes, could not add to the scoreline. With the score at 4-5 in Tetford's favour, the Park had the chance to gain a draw if they could take the doubles at the end of the evening. However, player of the match Foster teamed up with Mary Silverton and were too strong for Calvert/Allbones, with Tetford comfortably taking the doubles in straight sets.
