2 MAN TETFORD DOWNED AT SIBSEY!

Two-man Tetford put in a good performance against Sibsey but in the end found Sibsey just too strong going down 9 – 1.

Andy Foster set the Wold men on the road with a fine win over “Smiler” Smith in game one and although he took Roger Hooton to five Andy just lost out 11 – 6 in the fifth end, Andy’s first encounter of Neil Snaith came as quite an experience for him, Andy looking totally bemused by Neil’s quirky style of play and eventually losing in three straight.

Although Brian Todd failed to register a win, after a shaky start against Roger Hooton he played very well and made “Smiler” Smith work extremely hard for his win, Brian only just falling short in five extremely close ends.

With Neil Snaith and Roger Hooton both winning their singles ably backed up by “Smiler” Smith winning two it came down to the doubles for the Tetford pairing of Foster & Todd to gain something from the match against Snaith & Hooton. The Sibsey pair found it very difficult for the first three ends and were fortunate to still be in the game but they turned the game around to comfortably win the next two ends and give a final score of 9 – 1.
