LODGERS D EDGES MAYFLOWER!

  Lodgers D just got the better of Mayflower with a 6-4 win on the night. David Kime was the player of the match, winning all of his singles in straight sets. Tony Kime backed him up with a straight sets win over Wayne Grooby, a four set win over Jamie Hill. However, the game of the night was Tony's battle with Chris Cooke - Chris started the better, taking the first two ends 5-11, 3-11 before Tony hit back to take the next end 11-9 followed by an ever closer fourth end 12-10, which set up an exciting finale! And so it proved to be with it going neck and neck all the way to a 13-11 win for Tony to complete his hattrick. All the Mayflower players beat the unlucky Ian Gorrie and with Grooby/Cooke getting the better of Kime/Kime in the doubles, the match finished at 6-4 for Lodgers.
