David Kime was the player of the match for Lodgers D on the way to a 3-7 victory away to Graves park E. David was the man on form, winning all of his singles and dropping just the one end to Fred Calvert. Steve Hill backed him up with his hattrick of wins, although Fred Calvert and Alex Allbones both managed to take an end from him. It was a tougher night for Ian Gorrie though, losing in straight sets to Fred Calvert and Alex Allbones, although he did push Pete Bell all the way to a decisive fifth end before running out of steam, as Pete took the end 11-3. In the doubles, Allbones/Calvert couldn't find a way past Hill/Kime with the Lodgers duo winning in straight sets.
