MATSCHULL THE STAR MAN!

  No. 2 ranked Paul Matschull put in a player of the match performance in a closely fought contest with Tetford, with Paul winning all of his singles dropping just one end to Jon Newby. Andy Foster of Tetford was their best player on the night, winning two - beating Dave Walters in straight sets and Mick Dodes in four. With Brian Todd and Jon Newby both beating Dave Walters but both losing to Mick Dodes, the match was poised at 4-5 in favour of Graves Park after the singles. In the doubles, Todd/Newby took on Matschull/Dodes and despite all three ends being close, it was the Park who came out on top to take home the spoils with a 4-6 victory on the night.
