SYKES PUTS IN STRONG PERFORMANCE! 

  Steve Sykes put in his best performance of the season to take home the "player of the match" plaudits, winning all three of his singles, beating Nikki Eden-Smith and Pete Andrews in straight sets before coming from 0-2 down against Dave Hill to take the next three ends 11-6, 11-7, 11-5. His partner in crime, Russ Freeman added two with straight set wins over Nikki and Pete but came unstuck against Dave Hill with Dave winning in four. All the Squash Club players did well to beat John Shortland to give themselves a chance of a draw with the doubles but the inform Sykes/Freeman put paid to that, coming through in four ends to claim a 6-4 victory on the night.
