  With Mayflower only able to field two players, Lodgers D got the best possible start and with David Kime winning his two singles in straight sets, a draw was at least on the cards. With Mayflower's Chris Cooke winning two, with a straight sets victory over Ian Gorrie and a four set win over Steve Hill and Tony Hall beating Ian Gorrie in straight sets, the unlikely comeback was on but Steve Hill put paid to that with a straight sets victory over Tony and with Lodgers winning the doubles, Lodgers took the win 7-3.
