In a re-arranged fixture, Boston Squash Club took on Mayflower on what was on paper, an entertaining match. Wayne Grooby for Mayflower was the player of the match, winning two of his matches against Dave Tennent and Nikki Eden-Smith but he couldn't stop Dave Hill, who took an excellent scalp, coming from 0-1 down to take the next three 11-3, 11-7, 11-5. Tony Hall also added two with two wins, a five-set battle with Dave Hill (Tony coming back from 2-0 down) and a straight set win over Nikki Eden-Smith but this time it was the other Dave (Tennent) who put a spanner in the works, beating Tony in four ends. With Jamie Hill continuing his improvement with a straight sets win over Nikki Eden-Smith and Wayne/Tony winning the doubles, it was Mayflower who took home the spoils in a 4-6 victory.
