No joy for Savill in Thailand

Luke Savill was knocked out in the group stage of the Thailand Open, following defeats by Chinese and South Korean opponents.

The 18-year-old Kent player also featured in the Under-21 Men’s Singles in Bangkok, where he was knocked out in the last 32 by an opponent from Singapore.

In the doubles, Savill and partner Oscar Perman of Sweden went out at the first hurdle in a deciding set to opponents from Iran.
