WBL 2014-15 - Round Four Report

Ormesby’s dominance of the Premier Division continued as they registered their fourth consecutive 6-0 victory.

Halton were their victims this time as the league leaders wiped the floor once again. Halton’s Nicole Hall appeared to be creeping towards victory over Karina Le Fevre, however Ormesby’s number one prevailed in what was an otherwise  routine victory.

However, they perch at the top of the table just ahead of Draycott, who also have four wins to their name.

A 6-0 victory over winless Knighton Park was the ideal preparation for their showdown with Ormesby in the final round of this weekend’s fixtures.

Burton Uxbridge recorded their second victory of the season with an impressive win over YHL. Isobel Ashley’s sensational victory over Yolanda King set the tone before she went onto beat Rachel Trevorrow to aid her side to victory.

Fusion Wags maintained their two point lead at the top of Division One with victory over AICES. Lois Peake starred again as she maintained her unbeaten start to the season with another two victories.

Draycott East Midlands 2 continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 6-0 victory over Cippenham. The result leaves Draycott top of the league after Formby suffered a 5-1 defeat to Halton, a result that moves Formby down to fourth.

Fusion and St Andrews remain neck and neck at the top of Division Three after recording further victories. They beat Sycamore and Greenhouse respectively as both sides look for an advantage ahead of the second weekend.

Fellow Fusion team New Stars find themselves in a similar predicament as they are tied York Garden Angels at the top of Division Four, whilst Val Murdoch was the star for Sutton At Hone as she earned two victories as they beat Halton 4 to stay at the top of Division 5.
