Craig Allen takes Three Gold Medals at Halton Para Open

Craig is ‘Head of the Table’

It was not once, not twice but three times a champion for player Craig Allen on Sunday 4th October at Halton Para Open.
Craig who plays for 'Barnt Green Aces' in the Bromsgrove and Redditch League convincingly took the Gold medal in the Class 9/10 singles before taking a second gold medal with fellow player Tim Fields in the doubles.  Craig said “Tim and I have won gold together before but Tim is not my usual partner so we had to really focus on each game.  We had some tough opposition but out tactics paid off in the end”.
The Band A competition was also fiercely fought but Craig was able to dig deep and take a third gold medal.  On completing the hat trick Craig said “Today has really boosted my confidence and I am looking forward to playing in the Belgian Para Open at the end of the month.  When I get in tough matches I have to remember how I played today and how I managed to out play my opponents”.
Craig is photographed receiving his medals from Karen Tonge, MBE, Chairman of the BTTAD.
