There isn't much time to win this trophy multiple times before turning 15 but several Cadets have managed to achieve consecutive titles including Ciaran Whelan (Fambridge) in 2001 and 2002, Mark Richardson (Woodham) in 2007 and 2008, Richard Jovic (Woodham) in 2012 and 2013, and Daniel Young (West Maldon) in 2018 and 2019.
Junior Open Singles
Steve Tilson (East Hanningfield) won this honour three years in a row in the early 1980s before the competition was discontinued and replaced with separate events for Junior Boys and Junior Girls. The event was revived in 2016. Daniel Young (West Maldon) won consecutive titles in 2018 and 2019 alongside the Cadet Singles.
The Junior Boys and Junior Girls competitions replaced the Junior Open Singles in the mid-1980s. Sam Lowman (Cold Norton) made this competition his own in its latter years by winning the title four times in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 before it was replaced again by the Junior Open Singles.
The Jean Hales Rose Bowl was awarded between 1978 and 2015, before the Junior Girls event was replaced with the Junior Open Singles. Emma Dadswell (Woodham) was particularly successful in this event in the Noughties with five consecutive victories from 2004 to 2008.
Several Juniors have achieved multiple successes in this event in recent years including Mark Richardson (Woodham) who won the title four years in a row between 2008 and 2011 with four different partners, and Zoe Davies (Maldon) who won it three years in a row from 2013 to 2015 with three different partners!
