Revealed: Our TT Kidz video stars

A trio of budding video stars have been selected to become the faces of the TT Kidz initiative.

Ben Miller, Joseph Dennison and Brooke Morris were selected from among a list of impressive entries in our TT Kidz competition – you can see their films below.

Judges were impressed by the enthusiasm and passion for the sport which shone through the videos they sent in as part of the competition.

The trio will be part of a team of six youngsters – three boys and three girls – who will help us promote the initiative, with the rest of the team made up of some of our Under-10 and Under-11 National champions.

They will be invited to a special video and photo shoot in the next few weeks as we work towards launching TT Kidz at our National Conference at the end of March.

Table Tennis England Head of Development and Volunteering, Greg Yarnall, said: “The standard of competition entries was simply amazing and we were very impressed by the passion on display.

“We’re glad to have Ben, Joseph and Brooke on board as part of our young team to bang the drum for TT Kidz and we can’t wait to see the results of the video and photo shoots.”

TT Kidz is our initiative to increase table tennis participation among the 7-11 age range. The central aims are:

To provide young people with an inspiring, engaging and fun first experience in the sport

To enable us to build national partnerships with organisations that can help take the sport to more young people

To provide clubs and coaches with a more attractive programme to take into schools and community groups to enhance a table tennis offer

To engage new young coaches/activators in the sport

TT Kidz will be launched at the National Conference on the weekend of March 30-31, 2019. Pilot projects will test the sessions from April 2019 onwards and we will be inviting clubs across the country to begin to deliver TT Kidz from September 2019.
