Dexter makes it to national finals !

The youngsters from Denham village have been doing very this season and one of their players, Dexter Dalston will soon be representing BUCKS county in the upcoming schools national finals.

Over 350 players representing 50 counties will gather at Aldersley Leisure Village Wolverhampton on Saturday April 21st 2018 for the staging of the finals of the Butterfly Schools’ National Individual Table Tennis Championships. Competitions are held at under 11, 13, 16 and 19 levels for both boys and girls. 

This is the largest one day event in the table tennis calendar in England.

Following these championships, the English Schools’ Table Tennis Committee will select representative teams to play in an International competition in June 2018.

10 year old Dexter Dalston has been playing table tennis since he was 7 years old, when he could barely see above the table !

He practices with his big brother Sonny who also plays for the Denham Village club. Sonny is now 12 years old and holds the record for being the youngest ever player to compete in the senior league, he’s now completed his 4th season!
