Cheltenham Junior Closed 2015

CHELTENHAM CLOSED JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015

The annual Cheltenham Table Tennis Association Junior Closed Championships were held on Tuesday March 17 and Friday March 20 at the Cheltenham Table Tennis Club in the YMCA Sports Hall.
RESULTS.

Boys U13. 4 entries.
The winner was Irek Nawiesniak, and the runner up was Sam Geracitano who lost in 3 very close games

Boys U15. 5 entries 
Irek Nawiesniak was the eventual winner after really tough matches with Tom Cutler and Josh Allenby, the latter was runner up.

Boys U18. 6 entries..
This was run in 2 Groups of 3.
In group 1 Jamie Theyer won, and Tom Cutler was runner up.

In the 2nd group, Josh Allenby, Irek Nawiesniak, and Will Wickens all won 1 set. The winner was therefore determined by best points average. 
Will won the group with 82 points for 66 against 
Josh was runner up with 61-61
Irek was 3rd with 76-83. 

In the semi finals Jamie Theyer beat Josh Allenby, and Tom Cutler beat Will Wickens.
The final went to 5 games, with Tom Cutler playing extremely well to beat Jamie and claim the title. 

Thanks go to those officiating Peter Cruwys - Referee, David Green - Junior Tournament Secretary and those who helped out on the nights.

The trophies will be presented at the Cheltenham Table Tennis Association presentation evening to be held at the Civil Service Club on Wednesday 29th April at 7.30 prompt.
