The final unbeaten record in all four divisions was ended recently when division 3 leaders Barrovians entertained close rivals Saughall Institute and went down 4- 6 in an entertaining clash, with Chris Walker in top form for the victors. Elsewhere in this section Russell Hunt and Alan Gilmore hit maximums as Barrow F defeated Northcote 6 4 -and Stuart Shipley was another player with three wins as his Officers D squad overwhelmed struggling Groves D 10-0.

Michelle Hall led Barrow E to an emphatic 9-1 scoreline over a very useful looking Electric  A trio and John Ashton hit two fine wins for Officers  E against their own F team in a narrow victory.

Premier action saw  Dave Bruce and Tomasz Halucha lead Pulford to a 9-1 victory over County Officers with Alan Rigby out pointing Jeremy Lappin for the solitary point.

In division 1 there were good performances by John Allera as Barrow A continued to climb the table at the  expense of bottom placed Whitby Sports, and by Steve Clift as the two Groves teams fought out a draw. Barrie Russ hit a maximum as Corus C defeated Beechwood 7-3 and John Chan was another undefeated player as Pulford B accounted for a weakened Barrow B by an 8-2 scoreline.

In division 2 fine play from departing Mike Eastell failed to save Electric Sports from defeat by improving Groves B and Dave Galley ensured that Tarporley shared the spoils with visitors Saughall Deva. Will Sleddon was in fine form for Barrow C in their  defeat at the hands of Groves C.

At representative level the Veterans A team returned from East Lancashire following a division 1 encounter  with a terrific 7-3 victory with Mark Pugh and Simon Jones in unbeatable form,but the B side fared much worse at home to a very strong Warrington A trio and the defeat ensures a return to division 3 next season.
