Current Chester/Ellesmere Port singles champion, Aaron Beech, spearheaded Barrow back to the top of the Premier Division following an emphatic 10-0 victory over a County Officers team well led by Alan Rigby and Keith Roper. Their nearest rivals, Newton , defeated Pulford A 9-1 earlier in the week so remain a couple of points behind the leaders but have yet to meet.  Joe Cutts recorded the win for the villagers defeating Roger Lee in 4 games. Elsewhere Pulford consolidated third spot with a comfortable 9 1 scoreline away at County Officers A for whom Hannah Winfield picked up the solitary point. Florin Barbus and Andy Eagles hit
maximums for the Pulford side. 
Division 1 action saw John Allera lead Barrow A to a splendid draw away at Groves and Geoff Willetts won all his games as Beechwood continued there much improved season with a fine 7-3 success over the strong Groves B trio.
Division 2 leaders , Groves  D , had to fight hard to secure a narrow 6-4 win at Tarpoley for whom Dave  Galley was in top form, and Steve Williams hit a terrific maximum as County Officers C continue to climb the table after a 8-2 away victory over struggling Groves C.
Saughall Institute remain top of division 3 but they also had to fight hard to overcome County Officers F 6-4 with Glyn Jones once again in top form form for the victors. Elsewhere newcomer Iban Ivashev continues to impress for County Officers G and he led them to success over a sporting Groves E trio captained by Peter
Zemroch.
