Andy Eagles led Pulford to an 8 2 Premier division victory over a Groves trio who as usual fought for every point, and singles champion Shaun Hall returned from honeymoon to lead Newton to a similar impressive scoreline against Newton A for whom Joe Killoran played well. Elsewhere Bryan Fitzpatrick stepped in for Barrow against Pulford A and hit two fine wins in a 9 1 success.

Division 1 action saw favourites County Officers A heavily outpoint Officers B 9 1 with Keith Roper in top form, and Barry Hough was also unbeaten as Groves B defeated Groves C 7 3.  Graham Boyd was in top form for Groves A as they overcame Saughall Deva 7 3 and Beechwood deserved more than a 4 6 defeat against Newton B in a very close contest.

Glyn Jones and Ade Fagbire ensured Saughall Port remain top of division 2 following a terrific 10 0 away win at Tarporley and Ilhan Ibashev is a much improved player this season and hit a fine maximum as Officers C defeated their own D side 7 3.

Under new captain Giles Cadman Groves E finally got there season under way in division 3 and opened with a very good 8 2 scoreline against Officers G.
