Premier division leaders, Barrow , suffered a first defeat when they entertained rivals Newton who included Tomasz Rzeszotko alongside Shaun Hall and Connor Climo. The young student fought hard but was unable to register a victory but Rzeszotko and Hall were in inspired form and picked up the remaining 7 points.

Elsewhere Barrow A remain bottom following an entertaining match against Newton A which they lost 3 7 but the games were close and John Allera picked up 2 fine wins over Nev Lacey and Ashley Hill. Russell Benstead is another player showing good form but was unable to save lowly Groves from another defeat, this time against a John Chan inspired Pulford A trio , again 3 7.

In division 1 the powerful Officers A squad remain top following a hard fought 7 3 win over improving Beechwood , but Newton C are in trouble at the other end of the table following a heavy 1 9 defeat at the hands of Peter Cottam and the Groves B side. Graham Boyd hit a fine maximum to ensure that his Groves A squad eased past their own C team 6 4 .

Division 2 results included a resounding 10 0 victory for Jim Whittaker and his Barrow B side over struggling Officers D, and Steve Jones was in tremendous form to enable Groves D to force a draw against a strong Officers C trio.

Stuart Shipley hit two fine wins as the Officers E team continue their fine run in division 3 and despite a maximum from Bob Salisbury Saughall Institute lost the match 4 6. Brian Wareing is having a good season and Barrow E defeated a weakened Barrow D side 7 3 to remain close to the top of the table.
