Ray Worthington and student Joe Cutts were both in unbeatable form for Pulford A in their Premier clash with Pulford B and this resulted in a resounding 9 1 victory. Elsewhere a weakened Newton team narrowly outpointed Groves 6 4 for whom Russell Benstead played very well to defeat in form Connor Climo.
An Andy Taylor maximum ensured division 1 leaders County Officers were not embarrassed by bottom placed Beechwood and they eventually won 6 4, and another side struggling to avoid relegation, Saughall Deva, went down 3 7 to Newton B who included Peter Walsh. County Officers A brought in Andy Barlow and top division 2 player Daniel Webber for their visit to Groves A but found Steve Clift and Mike Moss in superb form and a 9 1 victory for the home side saw them leap above the Officers in the table. Elsewhere Groves B proved too strong for Groves C and ran out 8 2 winners.
Division 2 leaders, Saughall Port, remain undefeated this season but were held to another draw, this time away against Jim Whitaker and his experienced Barrow B side. Rivals County Officers C took advantage of this slip and outpointed Groves D 7 3 thanks to a splendid maximum from Daniel Webber, and Brian Davies was another player in top form as he led Officers B to a hard fought 7 3 success at Electric Sports. Terry Haselden led Barrovians to victory over a sporting Tarporley side still looking for a first victory.
Simon Amari and Bill Wood were excellent for division 3 outfit County Officers G as they emphatically defeated their own F side 10 0, and Danny Cooper continued his good form as lowly Groves E held Barrow D to a 5 5 draw.
