In the Premier division current champions ,Barrow , finally got there season under way with an emphatic 10 0 victory over a fighting Groves trio. Aaron Beech captained the victors and was joined by Steve Green and new signing Arash Khoozoe who made his league debut. Keith Roper and Andy Barlow were other players in top form as they led County Officers A to a 9 1 scoreline over a sporting Select team including newcomer Paul Ingham.

Groves B continued their fine start to the season in division 1 by defeating a strong Saughall Deva trio 7 3, Peter Cottam again recording a maximum, and Officers B remain close behind following an 8 2 win over bottom placed Newton B with Daniel Webber undefeated. Elsewhere Steve Clift hit a maximum for Groves A as they outpointed promoted Saughall Port 7 3.

Gareth Hughes starred for Barrow B in division 2 as they hit a 7 3 victory over Kelsall Cobras, and Jack Auckland was in sparkling form for Tarporley Electric as they emphatically defeated lowly Barrow C 9 1.

Division 3 highlights included a narrow 6 4 win for Officers F over their own G squad, and a similar scoreline ensued when Tarporley Electric A defeated a sporting Groves E trio, Russell Hunt leading the way for the villagers.
