It was cup week in all divisions and this included an outstanding quarter final in division 1 between the top two sides, Saughall Deva and close rivals Saughall Port. It was close as expected but ladies champion, Polina Petrova , together with teammates Hong Wang and Dave Ash , ensured that the Port won by a 5 3 scoreline and progressed to the semis. The other semi in this division featured an all Groves affair and this was even tighter as it went to a deciding ninth game before Phil Hough led the B team to a brilliant 5 4 success over the A squad.

In the Premier cup Officers B fought all the way against leaders Newton  in a semi final clash before going down 7 2 in a very entertaining match.

In division 2 another enthralling cup semi final saw Haseeb Hanif lead Newton D to a pulsating 5 4 victory over a fighting Officers E side led by Raf Koldziejski who won both his singles. In the deciding doubles Officers led 2 O before Simon Watts and Chris Quartermaine fought back for a brilliant win.

More straight forward in a division 3 semi as last years losing finalists, Saughall Institute, comfortably defeated a young and inexperienced Groves E squad 5 0 and now await the winners of the other semi  final clash between Tarporley Electric A and Barrow D.
