The Veterans B team rounded off a successful season in the Lancs/Cheshire division 2 with a hard fought 5-5 draw at home to promotion chasing Lancaster/ Morecambe league. Jens Andersen hit two fine wins and was backed up by teammates Andy Taylor and captain Keith Bartlett.

In the local Premier division leaders Barrow fielded Arash Khozee and Gemma Grant alongside Aaron Beech and emphatically defeated Officers A, whilst Ken Connor assisted Newton to a resounding 10 0 victory away at Groves. Stuart Dearden hit a fine win for a useful Newton A squad but they lost heavily 1 9 to in form Pulford.

At the bottom of division 1 Saughall Port struggled away at Groves B and lost 8 2 whilst fellow relegation candidates Newton B went down 7 3 to Saughall Deva. Dave Ash and his team now face a Saughall derby match in which they need at least a draw to move off the bottom. Elsewhere John Allera led Barrow A to a fine 7 3 win against Groves C to finish as runners up.

Division 2 champions County Officers C kept their unbeaten sequence in tact coming back from 0 4 down against rivals Barrow B before securing a draw.

In division 3 Newton C also remain undefeated this season holding rivals Tarporley Electric A to a draw despite a Russell Hunt maximum , and Bob Salisbury hit a terrific maximum as Saughall Institute finished with a comfortable 7 3 victory away at sporting Officers G.
