There will be thirty-five teams competing in the 2017/18 season of the Clacton and District League. This is two less than finished last season.


The Walton Club has entered one additional team but Nomads have dropped one team and Windsor two.


Once again the League will operate three Divisions.


Division One (12 teams) : Brotherhood B, C and D; Nomads Panthers and Lions; Windsor Condors, Eagles, Hawks and Kestrels; Walton A, B and C.


Division Two (12 teams) : Brotherhood E, F, H and I; Lawford; Nomads Tigers and Jaguars; Windsor Harriers, Buzzards and Magpies; Walton D and E.


Division Three (11 teams) : Brotherhood G and J; Nomads Wildcats, Pumas, Ocelots, Lynx, Leopards and Caracals ; Windsor Kites, Penguins and Swallows.


The season starts on Monday 18th September with the last playing day on Friday 27th April 2017.


The date for the Closed Championships cannot be agreed until September but it is hoped the Tournament will be held during April at the Coastal Academy Sports Hall as in previous seasons.


The Handicapped Singles Tournament will be on Saturday 3rd February and the Junior Combination Tournament on Friday 9th March. The venue for both these events is Windsor's St James' Hall.


The Knock-Out Cup Final is scheduled to be played during week commencing 30th April as the final match of the season.


Next year’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 5th June.


* Players are reminded of their responsibility to register with Table Tennis England. This can be done on-line or by telephone. The registration fees are £14 (senior) and £7 (junior). Registration should be done by 31st August.
