The two teams at the top of Division Two of the Cleveland & District Summer Table Tennis League won their matches this week by big margins so increasing their lead at the top of the table.
In top position Northfield A visited Ormesby G and won by 10 - 0 with hat-tricks from Tom Webster, Gary Whittle and Lee Russell. Ormesby G did put up some resistance as Gary Whittle was taken to 5 sets by Jim Wyatt and 4 sets by Peter Mason. Olly Flight won one game against Lee Russell.
In second position Nunthorpe B were 9-1 victors against Darlington Dolphins B with hat-tricks from Barbara Kearney and John Hanson. Trevor Teasdale contributed to the Nunthorpe B win by winning 2 sets but lost his opening set against Joe Watts by 3-1.
The team in third position Hartlepool Westbourne B also had a good win against Ormesby G by 9-1 with hat-tricks from Jason Lloyd and Andy Greason. Gary Pearson won two but lost his opener against John Daley by 3-1
Northfield A, Nunthorpe B and Westbourne B are well ahead of the rest of the field. They have all played seven matches. Northfield A lead with 62 points whilst Nunthorpe B have 56 points and Westbourne B have 50 points.
