As we approach the Christmas break in the Colchester & District Table Tennis League, we still do not have a clear picture of who are most likely to get relegated come the end of the season. Even St James D, who are bottom, still have a chance to get out of the danger zone as they have 2 or 3 games in hand against teams around them.
However, it was up to the top 2 teams to star in the match of the week as Rowhedge F met Gt Horkesley D. With Matthew Rogers playing up yet again, it could've been a foregone conclusion that he would go down in all his matches. Although, he completed a very fine win over Nigel Claydon in 3 straight sets, and as stated earlier on in the season, he is definitely one to watch for the future. Chris Brook was the main man for Rowhedge as he won all 3 of his games, including a good 3 set win over Steve Holland.
In the only other match recorded for Division 2 last week, Pegasus B met their C team, with the B team winning 7-3 at the end of the night. Tony Eversden going unbeaten, and Rupesh Harding did well for the C team winning 2 games.
