Uni climb D1 table as Roesch and Horrocks score heavily

Week 8/9 saw some good performances in Division 1 and foremost amongst them was University of Essex’s 16 point haul from two 8-2 wins over  Horkesley C and Lawford B. Lilo Roesch and Matt Horrocks both took 5 out of their 6 games and in doing so gained a player of the match award each. The University side have moved up to 5th in the table and have a game in hand over the three top teams.

Another player in good form was Rowhedge D’s  Oli Reynolds. He took all 3 against  Lawford A  in an away performance that helped gain his team 5 points in a hard fought draw. It is still proving tough at the bottom however with only 5 points separating 4 teams.

At the other end of the table Pegasus A are 8 points clear of their nearest rivals after a 9-1 victory over 2 man Walton B but Walton’s A team and Rowhedge E  are level on points behind them.  2nd place Walton A have a game in hand and host the leaders in a head to head this Thursday.
