Steve Joslin in good form for H20 Rowhedge C

With just there weeks of the season gone H20 Rowhedge A are still without a win, having suffered two heavy 9-1 defeats. Without their experienced captain David Moss due to injury they struggled against a very strong Tollgate B team. The normally ultra reliable Kevin Gowlett has only won one out of six as he claimed Rowhedge's only point beating Nigel Hodder in five. Keiran Lally was unbeaten as was Vets 50+ champion Charlie Fulcher who won three on his first appearance of the season.

Gt Horkesley A made it three straight wins with a comfortable 9-1 win over their B team without the services of captain Lloyd Benett-Smith. Mike Emmerson won his teams sole point with an excellent five five set victory over Aimee Sparkes. Maximum man Richard Goodhand was joined by Mike Wright winning his first games for over a year due to shoulder injury.

Second placed Tollgate A also have a one hundred percent record and they accounted for H20 Rowhedge C 6-4. Steve Joslin won his three for the village team and in a repeat of the Cadet final two years ago Jermaine Fearon beat Jane Li 13-11 in the fifth end. Joslin was in good form again when his team drew 5-5 with St James A inflicting a four set win over James Denyer who won two. Colin Webber also won two as his team have drawn both of their opening games.
