The top of Division Two could be decided in the final weeks of the current CDTTL season. Things couldn’t be tighter as Gt Horkesley D and Lawford A both lead the division on the same amount of points. However it was Lawford A who gained ground on the Horkesley team, as they won their match 9-1 against Tollgate D. Robert Wood and Peter Freeborough won all their games. Gt Horkesley D had a 7-3 victory over Rowhedge G, who could only turn up with 2 players. Steve Holland was back on fine form after a little blip last week. Gt Horkesley E helped their survival chances by drawing 5-5 against a good Pegasus C team. Lawford B beat Gt Horkesley F 6-4 in the other game of the week.
Tollesbury B move further clear of 3rd placed Pegasus D in Division Three after comfortably beating St James E 9-1. Even though Gilberd B’s fate looks set to be chosen already, they still managed to pick up 3 points against Pegasus E. There were also wins for Gilberd A and Lawford C who won 6-4 in their matches respectively.
In Division Four, Rowhedge I move level on points with their ‘K’ team at the top as they beat Rowhedge J 8-2. Jared Chelski fought a valiant battle by picking up both of the ‘J’ team’s points. Lawford D beat Tollgate F 7-3.
At the bottom of the Premier Division, Gt Horkesley B had to suffer a whitewash, going down 0-10 against an incredibly strong Tollgate A team. At the other end, Gt Horkesley extended their lead at the top after beating Tollgate B 7-3.
In Division One, the two bottom teams suffered the same scoreline as each other. Tollesbury A lost 9-1 against St James C, with Scott Bills winning the only game for Tollesbury in his first match. He’s one to watch though, after joining Tollesbury from the top division of the Hastings league. Dedham B beat Rowhedge F 9-1, with Chris Brook only managing one win for Rowhedge.
