League Press Report - Week 13

Rowhedge F stay bottom of Division One, but have made a statement to other teams in the division that they will fight till the last game. They beat Tollesbury A 7-3, who themselves now appear to have joined the battle to stay up. Adam Cutherbert won all of his games for Rowhedge.

In Division Two, Lawford B move into 2nd place after thrashing Pegasus D 9-1. Rupesh Harding was the only player able to salvage a point for Pegasus. Tollesbury B, who have a small chance to gain promotion in successive seasons, matched this scoreline against Gt Horkesley D. This result leaves Gt Horkesley in a dangerous position near the bottom of the table. Tollgate D are now 19 points clear at the top of the table thanks to an 8-2 victory over Dedham B. Tom Elder was on form again to win all of his games.

Tollgate E proved too strong for Pegasus H in Division Four, beating them 7-3. Ken Huang and Arran Hutchinson both had maximums for Tollgate.

Two Rowhedge teams dominated the Premier Division last week. Rowhedge B move top of the pile by beating Walton A 9-1. Sam Cowan and Rik James had a perfect evening, with James not dropping any sets at all. Rowhedge C had a very good 10-0 win over St James A. St James remain in the bottom two, but are only five points behind Dedham A with a game in hand so will have the belief they can escape from trouble.
