Rowhedge A keep the pressure on Tollgate A

With around a third of the season now played, some teams are starting to close the gap on divisional leaders at the top of their respective divisions. Tollgate A just can’t seem to pull away at the top of the Premier Division with Rowhedge A matching their result. Tollgate A beat Rowhedge B 9-1, with Andy Warner and Colin Stallwood winning all their games. Rowhedge A stay six points behind after beating Pegasus A by the same score-line. Richard Hutchinson and Rik James were unbeaten come the end of the evening. St James A move up to third in the table thanks to a 6-4 victory over Walton A. James Denyer achieved a maximum for St James. St James B beat Tollgate B 7-3. The Hume brothers won all their games for St James.


In Division One, Tollgate D are top after beating St James C 6-4. Andy Vincent’s valiant effort, winning all three of his games, wasn’t good enough for St James to take an overall win. Gt Horkesley A drew 5-5 with Rowhedge C. Ken Lewis won all his games for Gt Horkesley to take his win percentage to 93.33% (14/15 games won).


Jared Chelski cannot be stopped at the moment in Division Two. Arguably the most impressive player so far this season, Chelski has now won all 18 of his games played, and his most recent wins helped Rowhedge G beat top-of-the-table Lawford C 6-4. Rowhedge E are second after drawing 5-5 with Gt Horkesley B. Chris Parr ended the night unbeaten. Pegasus B and Rowhedge F also drew 5-5. However, Pegasus’ second game of the week saw them beat St James D 8-2. Dave Whiting won all his games. St James also lost by the same score-line in their other game of the week, this time against Gt Horkesley B, 8-2. Steve Lowe achieved a maximum.


In Division Three, Pegasus D reduce their sister team’s (Pegasus C) lead at the top of the table to 3 points after thrashing Pegasus E 10-0. All but three games were won in three sets. Pegasus C beat Gt Horkesley D 6-4, with Kevin Turner winning all his games for Pegasus. Tollgate F recorded a heavy win over Dedham B, beating them 10-0. Gilberd A are only 4 points off the top after they beat Gt Horkesley C 7-3. Both Robert Wood-Norman and Olly Fifield finished the night unbeaten.


In Division Four, bottom side CRGS A recorded a shock 7-3 victory over Tollesbury C. Justin Lee beat all of Tollesbury’s players. Rowhedge H move to the top of the table after beating Tollgate H 9-1, with Jamie Morgan and Jarecki Sahaj winning all their matches. Gilberd B beat Pegasus F 6-4.
